What is the Danish defence opt-out really about?

Denmark is going to the polls on June 1 to vote on the Danish defence opt-out!    

In the shadow of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, we are seeing major changes in Europe's defense policy landscape. Denmark is no exception to this, and the Danish parliament has therefore put the defense opt-out to a referendum.    

But what are we really going to vote on? Why do we have a defense opt-out at all? And what significance does the abolition or preservation of the defense opt-out have for Denmark, and ultimately for you?    

To answer all these important questions, the EU expert Jacob Bjelskov, project manager for New Europe, gives a presentation on the background and content of the defense opt-out, where you can subsequently ask all the questions you may have.
