ACADEMY OF CHANGE
Do you want to get knowledge and tools on how to create democratic and sustainable transformations of our societies? Then join the Academy of Change!
The Academy of Change is a training course for young people who want to work on climate, social and economic justice, get skilled in methods of change and become part of an international youth network.
In the Academy of Change we investigate solutions together and dive into alternative practices and methods to create the change we want to see in the world.
THE ACADEMY

Consists of 7 sessions of 2-3 hours

Takes place from end-November 2021 to end-January 2022
-
Is open for 60 participants
-
Will have a hybrid format with the possibility to participate online from any locality or physically in Copenhagen for those who are living in Denmark

Tackling the Climate Crisis – Pluralist economics, transformative policies and the EU

Feminist Economics – Rethinking work, value and equality on the labour market

Just Transitions and Global Justice – Solidarity, inclusion and redistribution across borders

Rights and Democracy – Securing rights in the global backlash of civic space

WHY JOIN THE ACADEMY?
At the Academy you will get knowledge of theories and movements within sustainable societal transformation and be equipped to be a change-agent yourself!

After the Academy, you will have the chance to participate in forthcoming projects which includes study trips and advocacy tours in Europe, a European Folk High School in Denmark and Spain, a conference of the New Economy and much more.

To create change the first step is to gain in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of ideas and theories within sustainable societal transformation. We will investigate and co-create visions and solutions together based on the knowledge we gain within:

TOOLS
When we have investigated what we want to change, we need to know how to do it! For this we need tools that help us act within and influence our surroundings. At the Academy you will get practical tools within:

MORE INFORMATION
Joining the Academy does not require any prior knowledge of economics, climate policies or transformative practices, only that you have a desire to get involved in the course and exchange ideas and your own experiences with the other participants. It is free of charge to participate in the Academy, but in return we expect you to actively participate throughout the whole course.
Participants will be selected based on personal motivation and on creating a diverse and interdisciplinary group. We encourage everyone regardless of gender, religion, or ethnicity
to sign up.
